Yun Shi, PhD., Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Portland State University shares how she learned how to write academically as a non-native English speaker and how you can too.

Yun Shi, PhD., is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Portland State University and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California and Oregon. She was born and raised in China and came to the United States as an international student in the 1990s. She learned academic writing through academic training and a lifelong fascination with writing in general.
